Friday is less exciting for me since I'm not working right now, but I know the rest of the world is pretty psyched. (Except my mom, it's her Saturday) ;)
We slept in this morning. It was unintentional, but we're enjoying the luxury while we have the option.
Since I have nothing terribly exciting to tell you about, I thought I would share a few of my favorite things right now.
1. Holiday ice cream! I can't help myself, it's delicious.
2. My new leggings. They're fleece lined and super comfy. I also like that they have a panel on the side that breathes a little more than if they were the fleecy material all the way around. They're coming in handy for group runs - it's supposed to be 30 degrees tomorrow morning.
3. My treadmill. I know most people don't like them, but I love my treadmill. It saves me from the dark and cold and prevents my lazy butt from using the dark and cold as an excuse to not work out.
4. My Mizuno Wave Sayonara 2s. They're my go-to shoes right now, I wear them all the time. I can't wear them on my trail runs though. The trails are mostly gravel and it was ripping up the bottom too quickly, so now I save them for street and treadmill runs. I also ran my last race in them.
5. New mittens! Ok, so I haven't actually worn them for a run yet, but I'm very excited to try them out tomorrow. Gloves drive me crazy, so I'm trying mittens out to see if I will actually wear them. I'll freeze my fingers off before I'll wear the gloves I have. That's totally reasonable.

I love holiday ice cream, too. Especially peppermint. With hot fudge. MMMMMMMM. I also love the treadmill for the reasons you mentioned. I hate running by myself at night, so if no buddies are available, I run on the TM if it's dark.
