Hemp Hearts Review and Giveaway!

Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Manitoba Harvest and the Sweat Pink community in exchange for a review of Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts. All opinions are my own.

You guys know how much I like trying new (to me) products, especially if they're edible. So I was pretty psyched to get to try out a bag of Hemp Hearts from Manitoba Harvest.

Hemp hearts are nutty little guys (raw, shelled hemp seeds, if you want to get technical) that you can put on just about anything.

I really like putting them in yogurt, and I have even tried them on an English muffin with apple butter. I have also seen other bloggers use them in smoothies and as a salad topper. There are no rules!

Manitoba Harvest has a bunch of recipes on their site, and if I had a kitchen right now I would be all over these Banana Hemp Heart Muffins. The nuttiness of the Hemp Hearts would be delicious in banana muffins, kind of like adding walnuts to banana bread.

Hemp Hearts have more protein and omegas (10 grams of each per serving) and less carbs than the same serving of chia or flax, if you worry about those kinds of things.

Want to try Hemp Hearts? Use promo code: HHSP1015 to get 20% off the entire Manitoba Harvest web store! This code expires December 31, 2015.

I Really Like Food

Buddy and I had a pretty typical day today.

I made myself a really delicious breakfast of roasted sweet potato, broccoli and cauliflower topped with eggs and hot sauce. After putzing around reading blogs and watching the Today show, I did the dishes and hit the grocery store before lunch.

I made some really good life decisions at the store. And by that I mean I bought some really delicious things.

I knew these were coming out - I've been keeping my eyes out for them. For some reason they only come in a weird small package.

We haven't tried them yet, but I'll keep you posted :)

And I couldn't pass this up:

It's mocha ice cream with cookies and cookie dough - it's really good. Don't be like me. I am not a healthy living blogger.

I'm a total spaz and left my groceries on the counter for longer than I care to admit when I got home. I was headed to the basement to workout and noticed my space cadet moment.

I did a HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout today. Then I remembered that I really don't like HIIT workouts. I'm still trying to find a workout for my non-running days that I actually like. I'm open to suggestions.

Then I got a surprise in the mail!

Apparently, I won a giveaway from FitFluential and didn't know it - hooray snacks! I've had the coconut chips Bare Fruit makes (amazing), and who doesn't like apple chips? I was actually trying to find apple chips at the store the other day and after going up and down pretty much every aisle, I don't think our grocery store has any, which I thought was weird.

I'm pretty sure I need this tank

What's your favorite healthy snack? Less-than-healthy snack?

Gigabody Review and Giveaway!

Disclaimer – I received two months free membership from Gigabody for this review through my ambassadorship with SweatPink. All opinions are my own.

I don't belong to a gym; I wouldn't go. There are days when I have a hard time making myself go to my basement to work out - I'm certainly not driving to a gym, nor do I want to pay for one.

I recently got a chance to try out a subscription workout video website called Gigabody (only 8.99 a month!). Gigabody is great, because you know you're going to find good workouts with trainers who know what they're talking about, all without leaving your house. Plus, I know I've wasted plenty of time trying to find something worthwhile on youtube.

Gigabody makes it easy, a few clicks and you're good to go! And if you're picky like me, there's always another video to try if you decide you don't like one (or you decide in the first 30 seconds that the trainer's voice will drive you crazy...which may have happened).

I pretty much never cross-train (even though I know I should), so this was a fun way to break away from my usual all running, all the time.

You can choose workouts based on time, style of workout, intensity, or choose from different collections of workouts.

I like that they have a no equipment workout list, because I don't have any yoga blocks or weights to play with. They also have previews of each workout, so you can check it out before you decide which one you want to do.

You can check out all the videos they have available HERE!

Do you want a chance to try Gigabody out? Well you're in luck, because the good people at Gigabody are giving one reader 1 month free!
